WIND SYMPHONY

Conducted by Anton Coleman, the Repertoire includes Symphonic Winds standards. Students and adults with six or more years' experience welcome to participate.

Rehearsals:
Concert:​​
  • Live concerts March 24 and May 25, 2023 at Chief Sealth International High School

  • Concert attire is all black

 

Placement Auditions for those new to the Wind Symphony:
  • Musicians new to WSCO or new to the Wind Symphony are asked to play for 1-2 conductors or coaches at the start of the session.

  • Auditions are informal and serve as an opportunity for us to meet you and help find the ensemble that will best fit your currently playing ability. Musicians are only required to audition once but are always welcome to re-audition at the start of any session, should they wish to switch ensembles. 

  • You may request an audition at the time of registration.

  • For placement in the Wind Symphony, please be prepared to play:

  1. 2 Major scales of your choice (2 octaves)

  2. 2 Minor scales of your choice (2 octaves)

  3. 2 minutes of your choice of excerpts, or a piece you have prepared.

  4. Expect some sight-reading (which will be an excerpt of current repertoire)

Cost:
  • Students K-12: FREE!

  • Adult fee: $180 for Winter/Spring 2023 Session
