2025-26 SEASON SCHEDULE
Please note that dates are subject to change based on venue availability. Any changes will be communicated as soon as information is available.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
For placement in the Symphony Orchestra or Wind Symphony, please be prepared to play:

2 Major scales of your choice (2 octaves)

2 Minor scales of your choice (2 octaves)

2 minutes of your choice of excerpts, or a piece you have prepared.

Expect some sight-reading (which will be an excerpt of current repertoire) - NO SIGHTREADING THIS SESSION
For placement in the Concert Orchestra, please be prepared to play:

2 Major scales of your choice from C, G, D, A, F, B-flat, E-flat, or A-flat (2 octaves preferred)

2 Minor scales of your choice (2 octaves preferred)

2 minutes of your choice of excerpts, or a piece you have prepared. The "excerpt" can be anything! A piece you are currently playing, an etude, a piece from your friend's clarinet book... whatever you are comfortable performing.

To participate in the Debut Orchestra you should be able to:

Play C, G, D, F, and B-flat major scales (one octave)

Play a prepared short excerpt. The "excerpt" can be anything! About 20 measures: from a piece you are currently playing, from a book of etudes, from your friend's clarinet book... whatever you are comfortable performing.

Read music for your instrument

Read and play eighth-note rhythms

Strings:

Violin and Viola - play in first position; play in third position recommended

Cello - play in first position; play in fourth position recommended
-
Bass - be comfortable with shifting
