
STUDENT BEGINNING STRINGS
An introductory class for students in their first two years of playing a violin, viola, cello, or bass. No previous experience needed.

Quick Information

This class is for students in grades 4 - 8.Younger students who are taking private lessons may participate on a case-by-case basis. High school students may take part in Adult Beginning Strings at no charge.
There are two sections of the beginning strings class- first year students, and second year students.
After two years, students can audition to join our Debut Orchestra or continue on in the class to get confidence in their skills.

Rehearsals:

Tuesdays, 5:30 to 6:45 PM

Rehearsals are at Chief Sealth International High School

Concert:​​

The Beginning Strings classes perform one concert per season at Chief Sealth International High School, typically in May.

Follows a year-long curriculum from September through May. Joining partway through the year is not generally allowed.
